What's a Parent to do?Parenting is the most difficult and daunting task that we face as adults. Many of us feel alone with no where to turn. As your school counselor, it is my job to collaborate with you and your child’s teacher to help your child transition and participate in school.
Some students may be “perfect angels” here at school and then when they get home all they do is cry about coming back. Other students, may consistently cry or get in trouble here at school only to express their joy and fun at home. What do you do? How do you respond? Unfortunately, there are no easy answers. I have many resources here in my office at Brookview that I can share with you. Please feel free to drop me a line or give me a call and you can “check it out”. |
